NEW in Beer this Week, Feb. 8

The past couple weeks have been great for beer deliveries!

For starters, a TON of limited Crooked Stave dropped. Many fruited variants of the Nightmare, Origins, and L’Brett d’ series.  Several bottles are still scattered between the stores.  In the same arena, a few bottles of Prairie Bible Belt and Barrel-Aged Bible belt still remain. Many new beers from The Bruery/Terreux also dropped.  So Happens It’s Tuesday, Or Xata, Share This: Mole, Frucht Boysenberry & Cherry, and more!  Bruery glassware can also be had at all 3 stores.

Stillwater expanded their “Gone Wild” series with 4pk packaging of “Gose Gone Wild: Phuket”, and a new one – Toats Gone Wild. TGW is a saison-style ale brewed entirely with oats and brettanomyces.   We also saw a return of Hermitage, with their Strawberry/Rhubarb and Blackberry sours.   Hannibal MO’s Mark Twain Brewing makes its debut with a blueberry saison, a coffee/chocolate stout and a kolsch. Blackberry Farms brings us two new beers – a peach/plum sour called ‘King of Falling Fruit’ as well as “Roasted Cherry Stout”, a stout brewed with cherries.  Evil Twin brought a new gose brewed with green apples called ‘La Flama Blanca.’

We received a restock on Dieu du Ciel!’s ‘Solstice d’Ete’. It’s a raspberry Berliner Weisse from Canada, and at $4.99 it’s a steal. This beer is fantastic. Hof Ten Dormaal ‘Sloe’ dropped, this is a sour ale brewed with sloeberries from Belgium’s Hof Ten Dormaal.

Founders rolled out a new limited release called ‘Frootwood.’   It’s a cherry ale/fruit beer aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels.   And of course, Boulevard released its Kolsch.  This is a light and easy drinker, and is selling very fast! And a personal favorite – Ballast Point dropped a couple doozies – Manta (a double IPA) and Red Velvet Nitro (an oatmeal stout brewed with beets and chocolate.)

If you haven’t heard, Mondays are known as “Power Pour Mondays.”   Every Monday, all growler fills are 20% off.   We’ve changed several taps this week, and have many more about to blow.   So stay tuned to the various social media streams for the latest beers on our taps.   Keep your eyes out for our March web specials, i’m starting to compile the list now (lots of craft bombers/large format) – and it is looking *quite* tasty if I do say so myself…
